About Liz
I was born in New York, on November 3, 1979. Screaming… naked… trying to understand this big, cold world. (I’ve only just begun to understand, 27 years later)
Fast forward.
I attended private schools throughout my whole 12 years of education and was awarded a full $125,000 Academic/Sports (soccer) scholarship to Elmira College (a liberal arts college in New York). I met Mark on a trip to Michigan, the summer I graduated from high school, and a few weeks later found out I needed to have emergency brain surgery. Yikes. Mark was serious enough about our fledgling romance that he drove all night to get to New York to be with me through the whole thing. What a guy. So they cut my skull open and took a benign tumor out of the right side of my brain, then put my head back together. My hair was completely shaved - bald, …stunning. I could have warned Britney that it’s not the most flattering style, but hey, like I always say, anything but ordinary.
Mark asked me to marry him a couple months later and I thought, why not? So I married him 4 days after my 19th birthday. It was great… (ignorance is bliss) I moved to Michigan, and we began our journey together. Little did we know that our world was about to rock. (read more about what happened next in my first post)
